Asus has launched a new NUC which is unique in that it comes with an always-on E Ink display on top. Asus is also claiming the NUC 14 Pro AI+ is the world’s first Copilot+ Mini PC that comes powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) having multiple CPU, GPU, and NPU architectures that offer 120 platform TOPS and 48 NPU TOPS. Asus said the computer provides three times the AI performance of its predecessor while still consuming lower power.
The PC supports voice commands thanks to its integrated microphone and Smart AMP speaker. It also has a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and supports next-generation wireless communication technologies such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It has a twin Thunderbolt 4 interface and can support up to triple 4K displays. Further, the 2.5G LAN offers strong internet connectivity.
The feature that sets it apart from the rest is the inclusion of a multi-color E Ink processor on the top. Users can display any image or graphics using the E Ink display. The image can be changed via the built-in app. As it is, E Ink displays have extremely low power requirements that draw power only when an image changes. Since virtually zero power is drawn as long as an image remains static, you can keep an image on display for as long as you want. This way, users can customize their PC in limitless ways.
Otherwise, the PC comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a top-end PC. That includes a built-in high-speed LPDDR5x memory and a robust cooling system onboard to ensure quick heat dissipation. It boasts a muscular build, measuring 130 x 130 x 34 mm. Asus launched other mini-PCs, including the NUC 14 Pro AI+, NUC 15 Pro, NUC 15 Pro+, 2025 ROG NUC, and NUC 14 Essential.
