Onyx Boox has a new e-reader to offer in the form of the Go 6. The 6-inch E Ink Carta 1300 display has a resolution of 300 PPI. The result is sharper and brighter texts and images, with the whites being whiter and the black deeper than before. The newest member of the company’s Go series comes with a 2.0Ghz octa-core processor which together with 2 gigs of memory ensures faster page turns and quicker app launching times. It runs Android 12 and comes pre-installed with the Google Play Store, which means access to scores of apps that you might need.
While you can install any reading app you want, the Go 6 also comes with the NeoReader app which the company said is capable of recognizing up to 20 document formats. Besides this, you have other convenient features such as text-to-speech, highlighting, annotating, adjusting the layout, and so on. You can also choose from a light and dark mode according to your preference. The 32 GB of storage onboard should be enough to take care of all your e-book or audiobook requirements. Then there also is the microSD card slot available should you need even more storage.
The Go 6 also comes installed with a bunch of apps such as BOOXDrop, PushRead, and AI Assitant. Keeping the device going is a 1500 mAh battery which should last several weeks on a single charge. The adjustable front light offers brightness and temperature controls, which means optimum reading pleasure no matter what the ambient lighting be like. The e-reader sports compact dimensions, measuring just 6.8mm in thickness. Further, at around 146 grams, the Go almost fits into your pocket. The included magnetic case offers superior protection with smart wake and sleep functionality.
You can pre-order the Onyx Boox Go 6 from the Good e-Reader Store and it comes with a free case. It ships out on September 12th, 2024.
