As has been reported here earlier, Amazon witnessed a massive outage in its services that was preventing users from downloading books from your library or procuring new books. The good news here is that the issue has since been fixed, so it is now possible for members to download titles from their Kindle e-reader that they purchased earlier. The company had earlier acknowledged the issue and confirmed to Good e-Reader that they are working to resolve it. Amazon also stated that it hoped to sort things out within the next 48 hours or so.

Interestingly, while most users reported facing the issue, downloading books via the iOS or Android app seemed unaffected. Amazon had earlier stated the problem had to do with some issues with the server on their end, which they seem to have been able to resolve. People had earlier flocked to Reddit or Amazon’s support forum to register their grievances on the issue. It’s unprecedented and isn’t localized to a specific region or country. It remains to be confirmed if things are back in shape for all users in every part of the world. Even if it isn’t, it seems inevitable that things will be back to normalcy within the next few days.
